Dear Annie cast & families:
Well, sad though it is, today is the last show, and we KNOW it's going to be the best one yet! We have a very full house, so keep up that energy and let's blow them all away!
Just a few housekeeping reminders before we get to the theatre today:
Checking out-EVERY cast member must check out with Miss Summer before leaving today. We have a special memento patch for each of you and that's the way you get them! Plus, she really wants the chance to connect, say goodbye and personally tell you what a wonderful job you did.
Gram Bags & Bio posters- Don't forget to take your gram bag when you leave. We will place everyone's bio poster with your headshot in your gram bags. Again, we don't take these back to the studios, so if you forget, they will be gone.
Strike-We will post your strike assignments in the Green Room and in the dressing rooms. EVERY cast member will be assigned a job to do for strike. You may not leave until your job is complete, so please tell your friends and family that you will join them for dinner AFTER your strike assignment is complete!
Load Out - For those who did not come to Load In remember that you are required to stay for ALL of load out, which includes returning to ENCORE studios and unloading the truck there. When we have a lot of help this goes very quickly and everyone can go have a bite or a beverage afterward to extend the fun!
Lost & Found: Please be sure to check around your/your child's dressing room station before you leave to make sure you have all your belongings. We always end up with a large quantity of socks, hairbrushes and makeup at the end of every show! We do NOT keep these items and take them back to the studios, so if you leave them here they will be gone.
Loyalty reminder- Don't forget, you have until midnight tonight to sign up for one of our Fall Mainstage shows, Matilda or The Little Mermaid and get the $75 Loyalty discount. You are only required to pay a $125 deposit now. You can enroll here and use the code Loyalty19.
Summer camps: Our summer camps start on July 8, and we still have some spots left in most of our 2-week camps, so why not join in and have even more fun this summer? You can enroll here.

Dear Annie families:
As we have done for the past several years, we want to remind you that we value your loyalty to our program, and one way we show you is to offer you a discount if you enroll in our next Mainstage productions before the current one ends!
So, if you enroll in EITHER Matilda (our Torrance/Redondo production), or The Little Mermaid (our San Pedro production) by 11:59pm on Sunday, June 30th, you receive a discount of $75 off of your registration. You need only pay a $125 nonrefundable deposit per student to hold this price and your spot, and we will break all of the remaining fees into a payment plan over the next 5 months!
Payments depend on several factors and each plan is individualized for your family. However, here is an example: If you have just one student in your family participating, and you receive the loyalty discount, that would equal just $175 per month between now and the end of December! With 2 students, it would be $245 per month.

Good Afternoon Annie families,
Please read the whole email, we know it's REALLY long, but there is a lot of important information that you need to know including, mandatory meeting on June 25 , signing up for your volunteer commitment, tech meals, DVDs, scheduling for tech week, requested donations, and what to bring with you each day to tech week.

First, we have a MANDATORY meeting at 4pm on Tuesday June 25 for the entire cast and at least one parent (or responsible stand-in) of everyone under the age of 18.

**************** Don't Forget to Sign Up Now**************
CAST Volunteer Commitments: Remember EVERY SINGLE cast member/family is required to participate in "Strike" on Sunday, June 30. (for a minimum 1 hour after the show ends) That means you need to tell all your family and friends that you will join them for a celebration meal at around 6:30 on Sunday, but not before.
In addition, EVERY SINGLE cast member member must choose to participate in EITHER:
All of Load in on Tues, June 25 (10a - 4p )
OR
All of load out (2-4 hours after strike, including coming back to the shop to unload the truck on Sunday June 30.)
This is NOT negotiable.
Outside of the above, each FAMILY is required provide someone to do at least 2 "jobs" during Tech/Show. Families with children under age 12 MUST do at least ONE of those jobs supervising in the dressing rooms.

- Tech meals were created to provide the cast with a decent meal during the long rehearsal evenings. Volunteers as well as cast can sign up for meals.
- Typical meals are anywhere from pizza, veggies/fruit, and water to a Rascals/Maui Chicken kind of night with rice, meat, veggies/fruit, and other sides, to a mexican night with tacos/burritos beans and rice salad and other small sides.
- Please note that even if you are purchasing a tech meal still pack snacks and lots of extra water --it is a very long night.
- Meals are typically served between 6 and 7:30p.

Meet at 11am at the cast entrance in the Japanese Garden, ( north side of theatre, south side of garden), performing on the Armstrong Stage.
Parking: Parking will be crowded please plan for enough time to find it and walk in.
Bring: Water, and/or find the greenroom for refreshments
Why: Its a fun chance to perform and a great chance to promote the show and fill up the house! We will have postcards for you to handout after the performance.
Wear: Black pants, Encore shirt ( we will have SOM tshirts by then)
Performing: Hard Knock Life, Tomorrow, Climb Every Mountain, The Hills Are Alive, The Nun Opening Number

Tech Meals
Tech meals are a warm meal served to the cast members who choose to pay and participate, it is not required. Typical meals are things like Rascals/ Teriyaki, El burrito Jr/ Mexican, Sandwiches, Thai or Chinese food, etc. While there is some options for vegetarians we unfortunately do not recommend tech meals for cast members with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
Meals will be served on Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Sat (between shows) for $36.
(*there is no partial orders, please choose between all of the meals or none)

Please note that we have canceled the rehearsal for Wednesday, June 19th. We will be rescheduling that for another date.

Tell ALL your friends and family. We want an ENCORE family to win this car!!!! Tickets are available for check out at rehearsal or at the ENCORE offices.

Headshots will be taken on Saturday, June 15th. Please arrive dressed in what you wish to be photographed in. You will need to stay a little bit after or come a bit earlier than you are called for rehearsal because you cannot leave your rehearsal to have your photo taken. PLEASE do not leave until your picture has been taken. (We will have a make up day for those who have a previously-scheduled conflict this week). If you miss headshots, you will not have a photo posted in the lobby. We cannot arrange for individual headshot appointments.
Volunteering Requirements
Thank you for those who have already stepped up to sign up for your required Tech Week commitments. Remember that every single cast member is required to provide someone to EITHER assist with Load-in OR Load Out, PLUS sign up for a minimum of 2 Tech Week jobs (or 3 if you did not do a Pre-tech job). Families with children age 12 and under are required to do at least one shift as a "Wrangler." We have made it easy for you to sign up for everything here.
We still need a volunteer to take on one big job for our show. This job is not listed on our Volunteer page at Signup.com. It would count as your entire volunteer commitment and no further volunteering of any kind would be required.
Concessions Manager: We know we all get hungry while watching a show, and therefore we are looking for some parents to help out at the concessions stands! The tasks would be to shop for items for the concessions stands, keep it stocked, and oversee sales during the shows. This job can still be done if you plan on watching all of the performances.
Thank you to all who offered to be the Headshot Photographer- we have found a volunteer to kindly take our headshots for this show.

Thank you so much to all who helped with our very successful Spaghetti Dinner, either by attending, helping set up / tear down, serving food, bringing desserts or all of the above! It was so much fun, and once again we were completely SOLD OUT! You all did an amazing job and created a lot of buzz about ENCORE in general and our upcoming shows and programs in particular!
Volunteering Requirements
It's time to sign up for your requiredTech Week commitments. Remember that every single cast member is required to provide someone to EITHER assist with Load-in OR Load Out, PLUS sign up for a minimum of 2 Tech Week jobs (or 3 if you did not do a Pre-tech job). Headshot Photographer You do not need to be a pro, but you do have to have some basic editing skills. We just need someone with a decent camera to coordinate taking clear, closeup photos of each cast member during rehearsals, then editing them to ensure they are all the same size/shape and color corrected. We print these photos to post on the wall along with bios in the theatre so people will know who is who, and these make a great keepsake for the cast members. Let us know if you are able to take on this job.

Mary Jones (Ensemble) This is Mary's third ENCORE production. Some of her favorite past roles include Adelaide (Guys & Dolls) and Ozian (The Wizard of Oz). Mary sings with the San Pedro Choir and plays lacrosse and soccer. In her spare time she loves to paint and read. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Dear Annie cast and families,
The performance schedule is here!! We know you are all excited and anxious to start booking your tickets!
To clarify, EVERYONE performs in every show. If you do not see your name, do not panic, you will be playing the same part in every show.
It is time to start booking your tickets!
Please read the entire ticketing document (attached) that details the process, particularly if this is your first first time doing tickets for a mainstage show. If you are still confused after you have read the document and taken a look at the system (accessible here), please send us an email to set up a time to work through the process so we can help you.
Please be aware when you look at the ticketing site that we are HOLDING most of the best seats in the house for YOU, the cast! Consequently if you log in to purchase tickets now it will look as if everything is sold out, and what is available is not the best seats. Now that the performance schedule is released, we will continue to hold them until Friday, 5/24 at 5:00p in order to give you time to contact friends and family to let them know your shows. At that time all seats will be released and you (as well as the public) will have access to begin booking them.
The mandatory minimum tickets charge has been placed on your account now and can be paid anytime. If you wish to upgrade, let us know and we will put that charge on your account as well. Once the charge is paid and you have notified us that it is paid, we will issue your membership and send you a confirmation. Please note you cannot start redeeming your tickets until you have been issued a membership and received a confirmation email.
If not paid before May 28 the card on file will be charged and your Level C membership will be issued at that time

The performance schedule is here!! We know you are all excited and anxious to start booking your tickets!
To clarify, EVERYONE performs in every show. If you do not see your name, do not panic, you will be playing the same part in every show.
It is time to start booking your tickets!
Please read the entire ticketing document (attached) that details the process, particularly if this is your first first time doing tickets for a mainstage show. If you are still confused after you have read the document and taken a look at the system (accessible here), please send us an email to set up a time to work through the process so we can help you.
Please be aware when you look at the ticketing site that we are HOLDING most of the best seats in the house for YOU, the cast! Consequently if you log in to purchase tickets now it will look as if everything is sold out, and what is available is not the best seats. Now that the performance schedule is released, we will continue to hold them until Friday, 5/24 at 5:00p in order to give you time to contact friends and family to let them know your shows. At that time all seats will be released and you (as well as the public) will have access to begin booking them.
The mandatory minimum tickets charge has been placed on your account now and can be paid anytime. If you wish to upgrade, let us know and we will put that charge on your account as well. Once the charge is paid and you have notified us that it is paid, we will issue your membership and send you a confirmation. Please note you cannot start redeeming your tickets until you have been issued a membership and received a confirmation email.
If not paid before May 28 the card on file will be charged and your Level C membership will be issued at that time

WE NEED TIME! — We have no way to build a 40% increase into our current revenue stream, so we need to buy some time to find Corporate Sponsors, Private Donors, and Grants that can sustain us moving forward.

If your child is under the age of 13 they need to be signed in by their responsible guardian in that moment, parent, carpool leader, grandma, babysitter, etc. Children 13 and over can sign themselves in, but everyone who enters the building must be signed in to rehearsal. After 20 minutes have passed from the start of rehearsal, phone calls will be made to those not signed in to see if they are running late or are sick.

MANDATORY MEETINGOrientation and auditions are THIS Saturday, February 23 at 12:00p at ENCORE Studios - 3555 Lomita Blvd Ste E Torrance CA 90505
Every cast member AND their responsible adult (if participant is under 18), is required to attend the orientation meeting at 12:00pm.

REGISTRATION PACKET AND AUDITION FORMS
Attached is the most recent version of our Registration Packet. We need EVERY family to PRINT IT, fill out the Audition form and the Conflict & Absence Policy form (2 forms) and bring them with you to Orientation.
Before coming to the orientation/auditions, please spend a few minutes with your calendar and completely fill out your conflicts on the Audition form. Every cast member may declare up to 3 conflict dates on their audition form at audition/by audition day. Additional conflicts at a later date are not allowed. We will be taking all of your conflicts into account when creating the rehearsal schedule and it is VERY IMPORTANT that you be honest about your conflicts. We take our conflict policy very seriously, and if we know in advance, we can plan around absences. However, you may NOT have more than 3 conflicts for ANY reason without prior approval from the director.
