For our Cast Members and Participants...
Health and Safety Protocols for Encore Theatre Group Encore Theatre Group is thrilled to welcome you back to in-person events, including performances, summer camps, and rehearsals! The health and safety of our audiences, performers, crews, and staff is our greatest priority. As such, we will be implementing health and safety measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne communicable diseases, as advised by the state, city, county, and professional theatre industry standards. We take the health and safety of all of our participants very seriously. Due to evolving health and safety guidance and conditions, all health and safety measures are subject to change at Encore’s sole discretion. For programs beginning August 6th, 2023 and later, the following guidelines are currently in place. Thank you for your support in ensuring the health and safety of everyone, Masks Masks are currently not required for rehearsals. Anyone who wishes to may mask at any time. If there are active exposures in rehearsal to airborne contagious diseases including COVID and the flu, we may at times require masking for one or more rehearsals by all participants. At those times, participants will be expected to wear the appropriate medical grade mask as described in any masking announcement. Masks will be required backstage during all in theater tech days/weeks. Masks may also be required backstage during performances. Masks are currently recommended but not required for audience members. Absence due to Illness If a participant does not feel well we request that they stay home to ensure the safety of others and prevent the spread of disease. For this reason, we limit declared absences in our programs to enable us to accommodate absences due to illness. If you are recovering from an illness we request that you mask as recommended by the CDC for the full amount of time when you return to rehearsal. Cleanliness Hand sanitizer is available upon request at all rehearsals. Please wash your hands after eating and using the restroom. In the theater, do not share props or costumes unless directed to by the staff. All microphones are cleaned and sanitized after every use. No sharing of personal grooming items such as hairbrushes or towels is allowed, and no sharing of makeup items. |
Health Information for all Encore patrons and participants
In-person public gatherings and events carry an inherent higher risk of exposure to COVID-19. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease. Prior to attending a public gathering or event, please learn more about the risks involved and evaluate your individual risk level. In particular, vulnerable individuals, such as certain older adults and those with certain pre-existing health conditions, who have an increased risk for severe illness or death, need to take extra precautions against COVID-19.
Guests understand that (a) the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and any resulting disease (together with any mutation, adaptation or variation thereof, “COVID-19”) is extremely contagious and there is an inherent and elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any place where people are present, including without limitation, Encore Theatre Group; (b) no precautions, including any protocols that may be implemented by Encore Theatre Group, any other vendor, caterer, any lender to Encore Theatre Group, and any of the respective Encore Theatre Group event sponsors or promoters and/or other third parties (such as by federal and state governmental agencies) (collectively, the “COVID-19 Protocols”), can eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19; (c) the risks of exposure to COVID-19 are increased by proximity to other people; (d) there is no guarantee, express or implied, that Guests and any of her/his guests will not be exposed to COVID-19 (e) people of all ages and health conditions, including healthy young people, have been adversely affected by COVID-19; (f) certain people have been identified by public health authorities as having greater risk based on their age or underlying medical conditions; and (g) exposure to COVID-19 can result in being subject to quarantine requirements, illness, disability, and other short-term and long-term health effects, including death, regardless of a person’s age or health condition. Guests also acknowledge that the COVID-19 Protocols may prove inadequate to prevent the exposure and transmission of COVID-19 and that it is possible that from time to time persons present at Encore Theatre Group or at any locations in which the events may be held or where people are gathered, may not comply fully with the COVID-19 Protocols. Guests understand that the implementation of the COVID-19 Protocols does not guarantee that guests and their guests will not be exposed to or contract COVID-19 as a result of their attendance at Encore Theatre Group events or pass COVID-19 on to others, including Guests and other family members of Guests. Guests understand and knowingly and voluntarily assume all such COVID-19 related risks related to attending, traveling to and from Events at Encore Theatre Group. Those risks may include an increased risk of exposure to illness (including, but not limited to, COVID-19), personal injury, disability, and other short-term or long-term health effects including death, which might result not only from Guests’ own actions, inactions or negligence, but from the actions, inactions or negligence of any of the Released Parties (as defined below). Guests accept that they have personal responsibility for any and all of their respective costs and expenses, damages, liability, and other losses that Guests, or any of their respective heirs, assigns, executors, administrators, next of kin or other persons acting or claiming to act on behalf of Guests (the “Related Persons”), may incur in connection with the risks described above.
Guests agree to follow Encore Theatre Groups health and safety policies, as well as all applicable Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) guidance, local, state and federal orders, regulations and ordinances pertaining to health and safety at all times while at Encore Theatre Group Events. Health and safety policies may be posted throughout venues as well as on tickets.
"Released Parties” shall mean Encore Theatre Group any caterer, any lender to Encore Theatre Group, and any of the respective or event sponsors or promoters and/or other affiliates third parties thereof.
