Welcome to Unfortunate Series of Events!!
We are so excited to get started with another great contemporary piece of young adult literature to be turned into a play with all of your fantastic children!!
Bring a copy of the book
(By this week or next, we understand this is late notice)
Every student needs to have a copy of the first book ( The Bad Beginning) that they can write in.
You may want to look on-line for printable versions if you do not already have a copy you want to write in - as they can sometimes be found there.
Drop Off / Pick Up - For typical Friday rehearsals from 4pm to 6:30pm ~Drop off as early as 3:20p and please pick up by 6:30p. There will be a sign in/sign out sheet at the entrance to the room.
Location: ENCORE Studios : 3555 Lomita Blvd. Ste. E, Torrance CA 90505. (DIRECTIONS are at the bottom of this email, google maps may not work)
Clothing/Shoes: Please be sure your child comes to rehearsal every day wearing comfortable, moveable clothes and closed-toed shoes. Flip flops and sandals are not permitted!!
Snacks: Please send a snack and plenty of water with your child, every rehearsal.
Practice at home: We will be casting the students in specific parts and some students will have a number of lines. We encourage parents to help their students practice their lines at home. This will help build their confidence and make them feel better prepared.

~ No Class on Nov. 23
~ Tech Rehearsal on Wednesday Nov. 28 7 - 9p
Showcase Information: There will be a showcase performance of Unfortunate Series of Events on Friday, Nov 30 @ 6pm.
DIRECTIONS
Our building is not easy to find the first time, it can be useful to use the street address ( we are at the back of the business park) of South Torrance Business Center 3521 Lomita Blvd Torrance CA 90503, we are only accessible off of Lomita Blvd.
We are located in the South Torrance Business Center on Lomita Blvd,The address on the FRONT building is 3521 and it looks like the picture attached here. image.png
When you enter the driveway, go all the way to the very back of the parking lot to the row of buildings at the rear. That building is 3555. We are in Suite E, which is pretty much dead center of the row. You can park anywhere in the lot. Coming from Crenshaw, West on Lomita, Encore is in the business complex right after public storage on the right side. ( Head to the back of the complex and then left almost as far west as you can go.)
Coming East from Hawthorne(or Anza) on to Lomita we are just past Riviera Medical Spa, and Madison Ave on the left hand side, and again head for the back of the complex and look for Integrity. We are not directly accessible off of Madison St despite what many GPSs will tell you.
