Costumes:
It's time to start working on those 70's costumes! Remember that every cast member will need to come up with a fun costume that reflects the feel of the 1970's. You can go with tie-dye, psychedelic, jumpsuits, go-go boots, platform shoes, bell bottoms, mini-skirts or hot pants (but not too short!) and anything else that seems fun to you. Here is a great article that details the types of fashions that were popular. We want a lot of bright colors on stage, so don't be afraid to express your crazy side! Please bring them in to rehearsal to show the production team no later than April 20th.
***********************************************
Order your DVD! For ENCORE'S Mainstage productions, we hire a professional videographer to film the show and provide DVD copies for cast members to purchase. However, since Joseph has such a small cast, we need a minimum of 12 families to commit to order a DVD so we can cover the cost of filming the show. If we do not get those commitments by Thursday, March 30, we will not be able to film the show. Please email [email protected] and let us know if you plan to order your DVD for $35 each! If you order a DVD, we will place the charge on your family account and charge your card on file. If you do not have a card on file, we will not place an order for you unless you call the office to pay in advance.

Performance Schedule We are making a minor change in the performance schedule. There is a home school graduation on Saturday May 13th, and a few of our cast members and/or siblings are graduating, so we are moving the Saturday, May 13th show to 1pm (instead of 7:30pm). This will also prevent us from having to strike and re-load our sets to accommodate the cast that rehearses here on Saturday. Please make a note on the calendar we gave you in your packet. --------------------- Jodi Sexton Administrative Assistant ENCORE South Bay

Dear Joseph ... Dreamcoat cast and families:
Congratulations to the Cast! We have attached the Cast List. We are so proud of each of you and can't wait to get started!
Going forward, our normal weekly rehearsal schedule will be the following:
2:30-4:00pm - Specific groups/roles that will change each week. We will let you know at least by the weekly newsletter each week who is called for this time on any given week, and within the next few weeks we hope to have a more comprehensive schedule to you. We are having to re-work the schedule around the smaller cast and we want to make the best use of everyone's time so that is taking awhile to put together.
This is your Weekly Newsletter, where you will find lots of VERY important information each week! Please make sure to read through the whole thing every time... Some things may be repeated, but you want to be sure to get all the info you need; especially if there have been changes to the schedule or deadlines.
T-Shirts- Have you signed up for a Joseph Show T-shirt? They are $20 each and are available for cast members and parents/siblings. If you didn't want one but now you do, or if you didn't know anything about it until now, we will be placing our order after next week so please let us know ASAP if you want one.
FaceBook Group- We have a private Facebook Group specifically for our Joseph Cast and Parents! This is a great way to get info, share pics, set up car pools, and bond! Please click here to join! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1208818292570731/
Costume Fittings- Our Costume Designer Cheryl, will be doing the costume fittings on Thursday Feb. 23rd during rehearsal. It would be beneficial to bring the proper shoes on that date so she can make sure things are the correct length.
Headshots- We will be taking each cast member's headshot for our show program and lobby on March 2nd, with make-ups done on March 9th, if necessary. There us no charge for these pictures, and we will be including the entire cast.

Dear Joseph ... Dreamcoat cast and families:
Thank you all for your patience with us as we got through our incredible production of Peter Pan this past weekend. We hope you were all able to come out and see it and support your new cast mates!
For those who have emailed with questions, we ask you to please bear with us. We have been out of the office for the past 5 days and are returning emails and phone calls as quickly as we can! We hope to have all calls and emails returned by close of business Tuesday. Thank you again for your patience.
We are very excited that it looks like we have a cast! And with a cast this size there are going to be some fabulous opportunities for everyone! We still would like to have about 5 more, though, so if you have friends who are planning to register, (or if you have not yet officially registered) please have them register NOW because we are going to have to cap enrollment at 35 students due to space limitations.
For the new cast members who were not at Orientation and initial auditions, please remember to pick up a Parent Packetwhen you come on Thursday. It contains lots of VERY important information that you can't get any other way, including a complete calendar and shoe requirements. I have also attached the Registration/Information Packet one last time for new families who need to fill out their conflict sheet and volunteer forms.

2pm-4pm - Callbacks as needed. We will ask some students to stay for callbacks for specific parts. Younger children (under age 8) are not needed for callbacks and may leave at 2pm.
Beginning next week we will have everyone broken into groups and will assign each group a regular rehearsal time. In general, the younger students will be dismissed by 2pm most weeks.
