Into the Woods
The late Stephen Sondheim’s famously notorious tale of what happens after “happily ever after” comes to the Warner Grand Theater in a poignantly reimagined production. When a childless Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, they set off on a journey to break the spell, where they collide with Cinderella, Jack, Little Red Ridinghood, Rapunzel, and Charming Princes. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. Told through the perspective of a child who escapes to the attic of their family’s home, this production examines the complex relationship between children and adults and brings to the forefront the theme “careful the things you say- children will listen.” Runtime is approx. 3 hours including a 20 minute intermission Not recommended for children 5 and under Location Warner Grand Theatre 478 W. 6th St. San Pedro CA 90731 Performances Thursday May 5 9:30am Friday May 6 9:30am & 7:30pm Saturday May 7 2pm & 7:30pm Sunday May 8 2pm Field Trip Opportunity for schools and groups |
